If You Don’t Own it You Can’t Change it.

In our prior emails we talked about the importance of intelligent self-interest or selfishness.

Today we are going to talk about ownership.

Ownership is critical to success because it is so empowering.

Let’s define ownership.

Ownership is the legal right of possession.

In the simplest terms it simply empowers you to embrace your intelligent self-interest.

Ownership says I am allowed to pursue my dreams, my goals, and my highest ideals; my intelligent self-interest (selfishness).

When you take ownership for your situation, it allows you to make change and do things differently. Ownership empowers you to act.

Ownership is different from responsibility. I like to think of it as more powerful than taking responsibility. Responsibility is defined as “on one’s own initiative or authority.” Ownership is a “legal right of possession.” I don’t know about you but I want the legal right to my intelligent self-interest. I then can take initiative (responsibility) to make things happen.

What are the Outcomes of Ownership: If you don’t own it you can’t change it. If you don’t own it you can’t achieve it.

Tell yourself right now that you own your current situation. You may not know why you are in this situation, but once you take ownership for where you are, you are now empowered to change it.

It is learning to think differently. Own your thinking process, own your results, own your life and know you can change the outcome from here forward because you are empowered to take inspired action to achieve your desired results, your intelligent self-interest, your selfishness.
